From Mike's Kitchen to Your Table
Every great flavor has a great story behind it, and ours started right where the best stories do: in the heart of a home kitchen in El Paso, Texas.
For years, our founder, Mike, poured his love for bold, unforgettable flavor into crafting custom recipes. These weren't just everyday condiments; they were passion projects—a Mean Mustard that made you smile, a Mean Queso that vanished too fast, and rubs that turned ordinary cuts of meat into legendary meals.
They were flavors he made for his family, for friends, and most importantly, for pure enjoyment.
The Posse Put Us to the Test 🤠
The turning point came at one of Mike's favorite places: the El Paso County Sheriff's Posse.
When Mike started bringing his homemade creations to share with his fellow Posse members, the response was immediate, enthusiastic, and frankly, a little overwhelming! It quickly went from, "Mike, what is this?" to "Mike, when can I get my own jar?"
That's when we knew these "mean" flavors—Mike's Mean Mustard, Mean Queso, Mean Fry Sauce, Mean Chili Rub, Mean Meat Rub, and our Mean Juicy Jerky—were too good to keep secret.
Sharing the Flavor Love
Driven by the smiles, the empty jars, and the constant demand, Mike decided to take the leap and share his creations with the rest of the community.
Our very first appearance at the local Farmers Market was a true dream come true! We sold out completely, which confirmed what the Posse already knew: these flavors belong everywhere!
